BENEFITS OF INGREDIENTS USED IN TURMERIC BATH POWDER

Wild Turmeric

Turmeric has anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and healing properties. It also helps brighten skin and even out skin tone. Helps lighten pigmentation, acne, acne marks, dark spots and even skin rashes. Softens skin and adds a beautiful natural glow. Wild turmeric works like regular kitchen turmeric but is a preferred option in beauty recipes because it stains less. Alternatively, you can also use white turmeric if you like. 

Rose Petal Powder

Dried rose petals work better than fresh ones thanks to the increased concentration of flavonoids. Rose petal powder works as a gentle exfoliator and also has skin beneficial properties like adding glow, unclogging pores, working as an astringent, cleansing etc. This ingredient also works well when it comes to treating body acne and blemishes.

Sandalwood Powder

Sandalwood is long known for its skin brightening and anti-pigmentation properties. It also helps treat acne, acne scars, acne marks, dark spots and improves skin texture gradually. Chickpea Flour

Chickpea flour is long known in ayurveda for its skin cleansing properties. It gently exfoliates without being harsh and leaves behind rejuvenated and soft skin. It helps clear skin pores, fight acne and clogging without being irritating on the skin. 

METHOD:

Things You Need-

–       ½ cup Chickpea Flour

–       3-4 tbsps Rose Petal Powder

–       2 tbsps Wild Turmeric Powder

–       2 tbsps Sandalwood Powder

–       4-5 tbsps Milk Powder (optional)

Directions-

In a wide mouthed bowl, add chickpea flour, rose petal powder, wild turmeric powder, sandalwood powder and milk powder. Milk powder is optional but if you have sensitive, tanned skin, do add this wonder ingredient. If you have eczema or itchy skin, feel free to add oatmeal flour/powder. Mix well and transfer to an easy-to-use jar with a tight lid. To use, simply mix the powder with milk, rose water, aloe gel or plain lukewarm water to make a paste. Massage on wet skin and rinse off. Pat dry. 

This bath powder can be used as a replacement to regular soaps and shower gels and also works as a great pre-bridal treatment.
