Spinach is one of the healthiest and low carbohydrate vegetable. It is high in fiber and also contains a lot of beneficial nutrients. I absolutely love using spinach in my food and I also love to use it for my skin. Did you know that spinach when used regularly on your skin can maintain its health and add a beautiful glow? Here I am sharing my favorite and super simple 2 ingredient spinach face mask for healthy and glowing skin –
RECIPE FOR SPINACH FACE MASK
BENEFITS OF INGREDIENTS USED IN SPINACH FACE MASK:
Spinach Leaves
Rich in folate and it keeps your skin protected against UV rays. Spinach is also rich in a number of essential vitamins like vitamin A, vitamin C and vitamin K and it helps to enhance your skin radiance. Helps to heal scars and reduce any skin inflammation. This is a great ingredient if you have sun damage and also dark spots. Contains antioxidants that helps fight free radicals and vitamin C helps in hyperpigmentation and uneven complexion.
Yogurt
Yogurt is rich in lactic acid which is a natural gentle exfoliant. It helps to prevent premature ageing signs like wrinkles and fine lines and also tightens the skin pores. Helps fight acne, lighten suntan and soften your skin. Yogurt is rich in essential bacteria that balance your skin pH and natural micro-flora. It is truly a multivitamin super-food for your skin and it adds a beautiful glow and keeps it healthy.
METHOD:
Things you need-
- 3-4 fresh spinach leaves
- 2-3 tablespoons yogurt
Directions-
To make this face mask, first wash fresh spinach leaves and tear them roughly so its easy to blend. Toss them in a blender along with yogurt and blend it until smooth and creamy. Pour the prepared mask into a bowl and apply it on over your facial skin and neck evenly. Massage it for a few minutes and let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes. Rinse it off and pat dry. Use this mask 2 to 3 times a week.
NOTE-
- Always patch test beforehand to make sure you aren’t allergic to any of the ingredients used.
- Always use organic ingredients for best results.
