We all know how common acne is. I myself suffer from acne issues and I have combination skin type. I love using aloe vera gel in my skincare routine especially in the form of ice cubes. A combination of aloe vera gel and cold temperature helps maintain clear skin. Aloe vera gel cubes can be stored in the refrigerator for a few months and you can regularly use it to keep your skin clean and clear. Below is a recipe on how you can make aloe vera face cubes to fight acne, whiteheads and blackheads –

ALOE CUBES FOR ACNE

RECIPE FOR ALOE CUBES:

Things you need-

  • ½ cup fresh aloe gel
  • 4-5 mint leaves
  • ¼ cup rose water

Directions-

To make aloe vera cubes, you can use fresh aloe vera gel. Simply get hold of 2 to 3 medium-sized aloe vera leaves, wash it and cut it open. Extract it’s gel using a spoon or knife and toss it into a blender. Add in few mint leaves. Adding mint leaves is totally optional but it really helps with acne. Add rose water and blend it all together. Pour this into ice cube trays and freeze it until solid. To use, pop one ice cube out and massage it on your facial skin. You can also pop out all the ice cubes and put it in a zip-lock bag. Store it in the refrigerator for a few months. Best used before bedtime and in the morning.

NOTE-

  • Always patch test beforehand to make sure you are not allergic to any of the ingredients used.
  • While extracting aloe vera gel, make sure that you do not go very near to the inner leaf or you may end up with latex in the mixture. Latex can cause acne and skin inflammation.
  • Use organic ingredients only.
  • Feel free to add in tea tree or peppermint essential oils for best results.
