PUFFY EYE REMEDIES

Icing

Icing is one of the best and quickest remedy to depuff your eyes. All you need to do is massage some ice cubes directly around your eye area very gently. Do this several times a day until you are satisfied with the results. If you have sensitive skin, wrap the ice cube in muslin cloth or a cotton handkerchief and then use it. You can make ice cubes using green tea, rose water, coffee etc.

Green Tea

Green tea contains caffeine and it also helps detox. Depuffs your eye area and makes your eyes look a lot better and fresh. You can simply soak some green tea bag in hot water for a few seconds and then place it on your eyes for 5 to 10 minutes. Alternatively, you can also freeze strong green tea (with few drops peppermint oil) and massage it on your eyes and around it for a few minutes.

Coffee Mask

Coffee is rich in caffeine and it is quite known for its depuffing properties. You can brew strong coffee and apply it under your eyes directly. Let it completely dry and rinse it off after 30 minutes. Alternatively, you can also add a teaspoon of instant coffee powder to some greek yoghurt and apply the mask under your eyes for 30 minutes.

Diy Serum

You can make your own depuffing under eye serum with just simple ingredients. You need 1 tablespoon of commercial aloe vera gel, few drops of sweet almond oil, 1/3 teaspoon of instant coffee powder and a pinch of wild turmeric powder. Mix it all really well until it is homogeneous and well emulsified. Transfer this to an easy-to-use dropper bottle and massage a small quantity under your eyes before you go to sleep.

Aloe Mask

Aloe vera has great hydrating and depuffing properties and when used chilled, it can do wonders. You can place fresh aloe vera leaf in refrigerator and cut it into half. Massage it under your eyes and let the residue sit for 15 minutes before you wash it off. Add in new drops eucalyptus oil for added benefits.

Under Eye Pads

To make under eye pads for puffy eyes, you need a teaspoon of gelatine powder, 3-4 tablespoons of freshly brewed hot espresso and a pinch of turmeric powder. Mix it all really well until gelatine is completely dissolved and pour it on butter paper or a plastic sheet in the shape of an under eye pad. Let it completely set and place it under your eyes for 30 minutes. You can also make a bigger batch and store it in the refrigerator.

Eucalyptus Under Eye Cream

Eucalyptus has great depuffing properties and it can be used to make your very own under eye cream for eye puffiness. All you need is 2 tablespoons of commercial aloe vera gel and 5 to 6 drops of eucalyptus essential oil. Mix these two ingredients together until turbid and well emulsified and transfer it to an easy-to-use jar. Apply a small quantity under your eyes and massage it in.

Mint Cubes

Mint has natural depuffing properties and it also helps improve circulation. To make mint cubes for puffy eyes, you simply need to extract fresh mint juice by blending together some water and fresh mint leaves. Squeeze out all the juice and pour this into ice cube trays. Freeze it and massage it under your eyes as and when required.
