Turmeric has anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties which helps in taking care of your body and hair. TURMERIC CLAY POWDER and Ways to Use

RECIPE FOR TURMERIC CLAY POWDER:

Things you need:

  • 3 tablespoons Wild Turmeric Powder
  • 1/3 cup Kaolin Clay
  • 2 tablespoons Bentonite Clay
  • 1 tablespoon French Pink Clay

Directions:

Take a bowl and add Wild Turmeric Powder, Kaolin Clay Powder, Bentonite Clay Powder, French Pink Clay Powder in the exact given measurement. Mix everything together using a sterile teaspoon and store it in an air tight container preferably glass jar for future use.

WAYS TO USE ALONG WITH BENEFITS:

Face Mask

 Benefits: With curcumin as the active ingredient, Wild Turmeric has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties which helps in rejuvenating your skin. It helps unclog your pores and reduces acne spots. Cosmetic clays such as Kaolin clay, Bentonite clay and French pink clay remove excess sebum secretion. They help in minimising the pores and also remove the dead cells. They also minimise blackheads and irritated skin.

Usage: To use it as a face mask, take a bowl add this powder and add rose water to it. Mix it well and apply it evenly on the face. Take a damp towel and wipe it off after 10 minutes. Steaming your face before applying this mask will yield good results.

Facial and Body Scrub

Benefits: Turmeric has antimicrobial properties which helps in treating acne and other fungal infections on skin. It also acts as an exfoliator to remove dead cells and fights acne. The clays help in soothing your irritated skin and reduces damage caused by the sun. They also help in evening out your skin tone. Sugar exfoliates your skin and almond oil improves moisture and reduces dryness.

Usage: To use it as a facial and body scrub, take a bowl and add this powder. Then add fine sugar and almond oil. Give it a mix and gently scrub your face and body for 2 minutes and wash it off as usual. Use a shower gel or soap as you normally would.

Detoxing Bath

Benefits: Turmeric soothes and evens out your skin. The clays help in detoxification and refreshes you. Since French pink clay has both Kaolite and Calcite minerals, they make you feel relaxed and calm. Oats gently cleanses your skin and eases inflammation and retains moisture.

Usage: If you wish to take a detoxing bath, take 1 tablespoon of Turmeric Clay powder and add a handful of oats and mix this. Then add the mixture to the bath tub, soak in for about 10 minutes in the warm water and then cleanse yourself with normal water after 10 minutes.

Clay Shampoo

Benefits: The Turmeric Clay powder reduces breakage and may stimulate hair growth. It also reduces flakiness and dandruff. The clays help in conditioning your hair and help in taming frizziness. The clays have natural minerals which help in locking the moisture of hair. They also remove oiliness on your scalp and remove product build up. In all, it helps detox the scalp.

Usage:  To use the Turmeric Clay Powder as a natural clay shampoo, take this powder in a bowl and add liquid castile soap to it. Give it a good mix and gently wash your hair with this shampoo.

Body Wash

Benefits: The Turmeric clay powder removes dead cells on your body and leaves a smooth skin. Milk helps in cleansing your body and it helps in making your body soft. It provides moisture and nourishes the skin.

Usage: Instead of using a soap bar, which sometimes makes your skin dry, mix this Turmeric Clay powder with milk and use it as a body wash.

Scalp Scrub

Benefits: The Turmeric Clay Powder helps in the exfoliation of the scalp. Since it has antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties, it helps in treating dandruff and removes flakiness. It also helps in treating other scalp related issues and removes oiliness. It provides shine and lustre to your hair.

Usage: If your scalp is oily, you can use this Turmeric Clay powder as a scalp scrub. To make the scalp scrub, take the Turmeric Clay powder and add coconut oil to it and mix it. Gently scrub your scalp 2-3 minutes before shampooing. Use a mild shampoo after scrubbing.
