Gelatin Powder

Is a natural source of keratin protein which is essential to strengthen your hair. Gelatin contains proteins that bond easily with hair and helps to repair damaged areas and also reflect more light. Hair cuticles becomes smooth and you may also observe that your hair breakage and hair fall shall reduce. Penetrates into the hair without actually just sitting on top and coating your hair, making it naturally healthier and more shinier.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar helps balance scalp PH and it also repairs hair damage and makes your hair super shiny and smooth. Helps prevent split ends, any heat damage and also makes hair more flexible and reduces breakage.

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is rich in essential fatty acids that help nourish and moisturise hair and scalp. Penetrates deep into the scalp and hair strands and repairs any chemical or heat damage and also great for dry and frizzy hair. Makes hair more manageable, smoother and softer and also adds a beautiful reflective shine. Has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties that keeps your hair and scalp healthy.

METHOD:

Things you need-

  • 1 tablespoon gelatin powder
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar 
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil

Directions-

Add water and apple cider vinegar in a microwave safe bowl and add in gelatin powder. Microwave it for a few seconds and repeat until the gelatin is dissolved completely. Add in coconut oil and mix it well. Make sure that the mixture is lump free. Once it is warm and not too hot or uncomfortable to touch, it is ready to be used. Wet your hair and apply this on your scalp and hair. Massage it gently and make sure that it is completely coated on your scalp and hair length. Wear a shower cap and let it sit for 30 minutes. Use your regular shampoo and follow up with a conditioner. Let your hair air dry for best results. Do this keratin treatment once every two weeks to maintain the results and keep your hair healthy.

NOTE:

  • If you feel that your hair is looking and feeling dry and stiff after the treatment, make sure that you are rinsing it again as the residue can make your hair dry.
  • If your hair still feels dry even after rinsing off the residue, you might want to reduce the amount of gelatin. You should be able to find a good balance in the ingredients with trial and error.
