Commercial Aloe Vera Gel
Be it pigmentation, dark circles, blemishes, acne etc. In almost all the skin problems, aloe vera works like a magic. It helps to soothe under eye area thus providing refreshing feel. With its anti-inflammatory and calming properties it helps in hydrating the skin and reduces puffiness. Treating dark circles with aloe vera is very well known recipe and we all of us are sure that it does the justice. It is rich in antioxidants, anti-pigmentation properties and vitamin E thus helping to give back the lost elasticity.
Instant Coffee Powder
Use coffee powder that is chicory-free. Caffeine in coffee powder helps to narrow the blood vessels and stimulates blood circulation around eye area. Caffeine absorbs water and reduces puffiness under eyes since it is rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. Tannin in coffee helps to lighten the dark circles.
Coffee Essential Oil
Coffee essential oil helps to reduce oxidative stress in the skin due to its antioxidants. Increases the blood flow to the cells and reduces puffiness. This oil helps to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, age spots and blemishes. It also helps in gaining back the elasticity of the skin that is lost.
Rose Water
Rose water is known for its skin rejuvenating properties. It is great when it comes to dark circles issue. Rose water has terpenes and flavonoids which are anti-oxidants and anti-inflammatory agents due to which it helps to soothe eyes. It even protects skin cells around eyes reducing puffiness and as well as the damage to cells.
Method
Things you need:
- 2 tbsp commercial aloe vera gel
- 1 tsp pure instant coffee powder
- Few drops of coffee essential oil
- 1 to 2 tbsp rose water
Directions:
To prepare this eye serum, take a small cup and add 2 tbsp of commercial aloe vera gel, 1 tsp of pure instant coffee powder, 2 to 3 drops of coffee essential oil and 1 to 2 tbsp of rose water. Give a good mix and store it in the small pump bottle. Use this daily before going to bed and after waking up the next morning. Add rose water as per the serum consistency.
Note
- Patch test is mandatory before you use this serum and check if you are allergic to any of the ingredients used in the serum.
- One cannot erase dark circles completely but with remedies and proper sleeping habits, you can improve the overall eye area and lighten dark circles to some extent.
- Discard the usage in case you feel any skin irritation. Some people may suffer from the irritation with the coffee powder.
- Do not expect instant results . Give it a little time to work and maintain the consistency.
- Use organic products/ ingredients for best results and to maintain the skin health.
- Stay hydrated.
- Schedule and plan things properly in order to cut down the extra screen timings.
- Take a break of every 20 mins from work and blink your eyes as much as possible.
- Close your eyes for 10mins once your work is done in order to relax.
- Splash normal cold water to eyes as soon as you wake up.
- Manage the distance between you and device and brightness as well (as per the withstanding capability).
