Turmeric

Turmeric is quite known for its anti-inflammatory and anti-pigmentation benefits. It helps lighten pigmentation to some extent and improve the overall look of your eye area. Also has healing properties and helps prevent early fine lines and wrinkles. Makes your dark circles look less prominent with time.

Shea butter

Shea butter is anti-inflammatory and super moisturizing. It mosturizes the area around your eyes and keeps it smooth and hydrated. Helps prevent early fine lines and wrinkles and nourishes. Shea butter is even better if you have dry under eyes.

Beeswax

Beeswax works as a hardening ingredient in the recipe but it also has great skincare benefits. It has healing and anti-inflammatory properties and it also helps deeply moisturize the skin and keep it plump and soft. Helps prevent early fine lines and wrinkles and is great for sensitive skin like eye area.

METHOD:

Things you need-

  • 2 teaspoons shea butter
  • 1/8 teaspoon beeswax
  • ¼ teaspoon wild turmeric
  • 8-10 drops coffee oil

Directions-

To make this eye cream, you first need to mix together shea butter, beeswax and wild turmeric. Place it on a double boiler or a hot water bath and let it completely melt. Keep stirring until it is well combined and melted. Turn off the flame and add and coffee oil. Mix it and pour this in an easy to use jar. Let it set until it is completely hardened and your eye cream is ready to be used. Shelf life of this depends on the shelf life of ingredients used. To use, Take a small quantity on your ring finger and massage it under and around your eyes. Best used before bedtime.

NOTE-

  • Dark circles cannot be completely erased, but you can definitely make them less prominent and improve your eye area with this eye cream.
  • Always patch test beforehand to make sure you aren’t allergic to any of the ingredients used.
