Wild Turmeric

Wild turmeric works just as cooking turmeric; just that it does not stain as much. It is specifically used for beauty purposes and has an active compound called as curcumin. It helps even out skin tone, lighten dark spots and pigmentation and also heal your skin from within. While turmeric has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties that keep your skin clear and free from any breakout and also calm any redness or mild inflammation on the skin. Helps unclog pores and keep breakouts, whiteheads and blackheads away.

Shea Butter

Shea butter is non-comedogenic in nature which means that it is not going to clog your pores. So, if you have acne prone skin or skin that gets clogged easily, shea butter is the best butter base for your DIY recipes. It also has moisturising and calming properties that keeps your skin supple, hydrated and calm and also keep it clear and soft.

Sweet Almond Oil

Sweet almond oil has moisturising benefits that keep your skin looking radiant and plump. It also has anti- pigmentation properties that helps fight dark circles, dark spots and any uneven tone on the skin. Helps brighten and add a reflective glow.

Turmeric Essential Oil

Turmeric essential oil is more concentrated than just turmeric powder and it also contains essential fatty acids that moisturise and keep your skin plump and hydrated. Helps even out skin tone and heal the skin from within.

METHOD-

Things You Need:

  • 3 tablespoons Shea Butter
  • 2 tablespoons Sweet Almond Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Wild Turmeric
  • 5 drops Turmeric Essential Oil

Directions:

To make this turmeric skin cream, make sure that the shea butter is soft and at room temperature. If not, you can microwave it for a few seconds so that it is easy to whip with other ingredients. 

Add this soft shea butter in a bowl along with sweet almond oil and turmeric essential oil. Add in wild turmeric powder and start whipping until you get a fluffy mixture.

Your turmeric skin cream is ready. Transfer this to an easy-to-use jar and use it as and when required. The shelf life of the final product depends on the shelf life of ingredients used.

This turmeric skin cream can be used as a face and body moisturiser and also as a night cream. You can also use it as spot treatment for acne and also on dry skin patches. Use it on your elbows and knees if they are dark and dry. Use it on your lips as well to moisturise and soften.

NOTE:

  • Use organic ingredients for best results.
  • Make sure that the ingredients that you are using have a longer shelf life so as to make the final product stay good for longer.
  • Patch test before hand.
