Make sure that a thin layer of honey is on your skin, if you apply a thick layer it can make the process a little messy. Gently shave and rinse it off with lukewarm warm water.

Coconut Oil

Using coconut oil is one of the easiest ways to quickly shave. You can slather some warm melted coconut oil on your skin and massage for a few seconds. Shave it as you normally would using a razor. If you want to make your own coconut shaving butter, you can whip chilled coconut oil until it is fluffy and use it as a shaving butter.

Aloe Gel

You can use fresh aloe vera gel or commercial aloe gel instead of using a shaving cream. Simply rub fresh aloe vera leaf on your skin right before you start shaving. You can also slather a good amount of commercial aloe vera gel and then share. Rinse it off with water and moisturize.

DIY Shaving Cream

To make your own shaving cream, you need 1/3 cup of sweet almond oil, 3 tablespoons of shea butter and 2 tablespoons of bee wax. Melt it all together and let it set at room temperature for a few minutes. Add in few teaspoons of liquid castile soap or shower gel and whip it until it is smooth and fluffy. Use this as a shaving cream.

Baby Oil

Baby oil is very gentle on the skin and it is also great as a lubricant. You can slather baby oil on your skin and then shave for a smooth and effortless shave. Wash of the residue with a gentle forming cleanser and pat dry.

Body Lotion

You can use your regular body cream or body lotion as an alternative to shaving cream. Simply rub some body lotion on your skin right before you shave. Wash it off using a forming cleanser and pat dry. Do not forget to moisturize.

Shampoo

You can also use your regular gentle shampoo in place of a shaving cream. Simply create lather with your shampoo and massage it on your skin. Shave as you normally would. Rinse it off with water and pat dry.

Flaxseed Gel

You can use flaxseed gel to shave. All you need to do is simmer flaxseeds in some water until you get a gel like consistency. Strain and use it on your skin right before shaving.
