Simply whip together 3 tablespoons of soft shea butter and a tablespoon of coconut oil until it is fluffy and creamy. Store it in an airtight container and use it on your knees and elbows before sleeping and after a shower.

Coffee Scrub

This super creamy and moisturizing coffee scrub not only helps exfoliate dead skin cells but also moisturize skin at the same time and makes it soft and supple. All you need to do is combine equal quantities of rolled oats and ground coffee. Now, add in enough milk to make a spreadable paste and use it as a body scrub or scrub for your knees and elbows in the shower. Prepare fresh for best results.

Aloe Gel Serum

Aloe vera gel in combination with jojoba oil helps moisturize and hydrate skin. All you need to do is add a tablespoon of jojoba oil to 3 tablespoons of commercial aloe vera gel. Mix it until it emulsifies and forms a turbid serum. Transfer this to a dropper bottle and use it on your knees and elbows after a shower and before bedtime.

Fenugreek seeds have brightening and nourishing properties. Soak handful of fenugreek seeds in half cup of water overnight and strain it the next morning. Add 2 tablespoons of fenugreek water to 3 to 4 tablespoons of commercial aloe vera gel. Mix it until it forms a creamy consistency. Use this on your elbows and knees before bedtime and after a shower.

Turmeric Mask

Turmeric is long known for its brightening and anti- pigmentation properties. Add a tablespoon of wild turmeric powder to 2 tablespoons of rice flour. Add in enough milk to make a spreadable paste and apply it on your knees and elbows. Let it sit for 20 minutes and wash it off. Follow up with a moisturizer.

Licorice Mask

Licorice as brightening and anti-pigmentation benefits and it also gently exfoliates to reveal fresh glowing skin. Gradually helps lighten dark knees and elbows. Make a paste using licorice powder and glycerin. Mix it well and apply it on your knees and elbows and let it sit for 20 minutes or so. Rinse it off and follow up with a moisturizer.

Almond Oil Serum

Using cooked lemon is a great way to lighten pigmentation and also to moisturize at the same time. My mom swears by this remedy and I have used it on myself for a very long time and it works. Simply cook lemon in a microwave or any pressure cooker while you cook other vegetables. Rub this on your knees and elbows and let it sit for 30 minutes before you rinse the residue off.
