Rice water is one of my favorite ingredients to use in my beauty routine. I use it for my hair and skin both and I have made an article on how to use it for hair already, you can check it here. Rice water works great for your hair and it makes it shiny and boosts hair growth, similarly it works great for skin too. It keeps your skin healthy, glowing and clear. Below is how you could make your own rice water toner for clear and glowing skin –

Rice Water

Rice water helps balance skin pH and inhibits unwanted growth of bacteria and fungus. Balances the natural microbiota of skin and keeps skin clear and healthy. Unclog pores and fight acne, whiteheads and blackheads. Adds a beautiful glow to the skin and also helps even out skin tone and fight dark spots.

Rose Water

Rosewater is quite known for its skincare benefits. It adds a rosy glow and helps balance the sebaceous glands that are hyperactive. Keeps shine away and keeps your skin healthy and glowing. Has skin nourishing and hydrating properties. Helps fight acne, enlarged pores and mild skin infections.

Lavender Oil

Lavender oil has skin nourishing and moisturizing properties. It adds a beautiful glow to the skin and helps with mature skin as well. Prevent early fine lines and wrinkles and keeps your skin in its top condition.

Witch Hazel-

Which Hazel has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties that keeps skin clear. Helps fight acne, whiteheads and blackheads and also is great to keep comedones away. A great ingredient especially if you have problematic skin. Has sanitizing and skin purifying effects.

METHOD:

Things you need-

  • 1/3 cup rice
  • ½ cup water
  • 2 tablespoons witch hazel
  • 4 tablespoons rose water
  • 5 drops lavender oil

Directions-

First step is to make rice water. For that, you need to infuse washed rice in plain water overnight. Strain it in the morning and your rice water is ready. To this rice water, at witch hazel, rosewater and lavender essential oil. Mix and pour into an easy to use spray or pump bottle. Shake well before using. Take a small quantity on your palms and pat this toner on your skin until well absorbed. Alternatively, you can also directly spread this on your facial skin and pat in the residue.

NOTE-

  • Always patch test before trying out any new remedy or product.
  • You have to stick to a routine for a longer period for it to show any result.
