TOP 10 TEA TREE OIL REMEDIES

Acne

Tea tree oil has amazing anti acne and antimicrobial benefits. It helps heal and treat acne and also reduce its frequency. You can add a few drops of tea tree essential oil to your regular moisturizer. Dandruff

Tea tree essential oil has anti fungal and antibacterial effects that makes it a great remedy for dandruff. Also, it soothes the scalp and reduces itching. You can add few drops of this oil to your shampoo or you can add few drops to rose water and use it as a scalp mist. You can also add few drops to your home-made hair masks.

Toe Nail Fungus

Since tea tree has anti fungal benefits, it is also effective against a number of skin fungal infections. Similarly, it is also effective for toenail fungus. All you need to do is add few drops to some warm water and soak your feet in it for 30 minutes. Do this once daily. You can also add few drops of this essential oil to aloe vera gel and apply it on your toenails.

Jocks Itch

Jocks itch is a fungal infection caused due to Candida. Add few drops of tea tree essential oil to some apple cider vinegar and spray this on the affected area. Also add few drops of this to your bath water and soak in it.

Hair Growth

Stimulates the scalp and improves blood circulation. This makes your hair grow faster and longer. You can add few drops of this essential oil to fresh aloe vera gel and blend it together. Use this as a one hour hair mask before using a shampoo.

Oily Skin

Tea tree helps gradually balance sebum production and is great for oily skin. You can make your own oily skin moisturizer by adding 10 drops of tea tree essential oil to 1/3 cup of aloe vera gel and 2 tablespoons of melted shea butter. Whip it all together until you get a fluffy cream and use it as a regular moisturizer.

Problematic Skin

If you have problematic skin that has all kinds of skin problems like texture, whiteheads, blackheads, acne, pigmentation and what not, you can use tea tree oil. Add few drops of it to your regular moisturizer and use it. You can also make facial mist by adding few drops this essential oil to chilled green tea and use it as a facial mist throughout the day.

Razor Burn

If you have a razor burn, you can add few drops to lukewarm water and soak In for 20 minutes. You can also add few drops of this essential oil to rose water and chill it to make ice cubes. Rub these cubes on the razor born.

Hand Sanitizer

Tea tree essential oil has sanitizing properties that helps sanitize surfaces including your skin. You can make your own hand sanitizer by adding 10 drops of this essential oil to 1/3 cup of aloe vera gel. Also add in 90% of rubbing alcohol to make it even more effective. Adjust the quantities to make sure that the final product has at least 70% of rubbing alcohol in it.

Head Lice

Tea tree essential oil helps treat head lice. You can add few drops of it to liquid castile soap and use it as a shampoo. You can also mix it with coconut oil and use it as an overnight hair treatment to kill lice.

NOTE-

  • Patch test beforehand to make sure you are not allergic to any of the ingredients used.
  • Stick to a routine for a longer period for the remedies to work.
