Milk has been used from ancient times and the queens used to bathe with milk to get the soothing effect and beautiful glowing skin. So much has been told about their benefits for the skin. Nevertheless, milk face masks were not neglected by any of the DIY enthusiasts out there. So, in this article we are sharing some recipes of milk face masks for beautiful, bright and glowing skin. Without much delay, let’s jump to the recipes.

What makes Milk so good for skin?

Raw milk has a powerful nutrients and vitamins and has a numerous benefits like:

  • Promotes wrinkle-free skin due to the protein in raw milk by repairing skin’s tissue and helps with re-growth.
  • Heals dry and flaky skin as the calcium in milk composes the uppermost layer of the skin.
  • Raw milk evens out the skin tone and fades acne scars as it is rich in vitamin B12. It is also helpful in healing rough skin.
  • Stimulates collagen production, slows down aging, prevents acne, promotes youthful skin and maintain the skin elasticity due to vitamin D in raw milk.
  • Hydrates and moisturizes the skin deeply by locking in the moisture as the raw milk is rich in potassium thus treating dry skin.
  • Raw milk is rich in lactic acid, a hydroxyl acid that helps in regeneration of the skin by breaking down skin cells.
  • Vitamin A in milk helps in treating dry, itchy and flaky skin.
  • It is rich in magnesium thus promotes fresh and glowing skin by promoting youthful radiant complexion.

Milk face masks for glowing skin

Raw milk and turmeric

Add half teaspoon of wild turmeric to the raw milk.  Give it a good mix and adjust as per the consistency you want. Apply evenly all over the face and leave it on for 15mins and then rinse with plain water.

Raw milk and almond

Take a grinding stone and rub some almonds with the help of raw milk to get in some paste. Apply this all over the face and neck. Wash it after 20 minutes. This can be done in the other way round also. Soak some almonds in water overnight and blend it with milk to form the paste and apply this mask all over the face.

Raw milk and chia seeds

Soak 1 tablespoon of chia seeds in raw milk until they become smooth and gooey. Now blend this mixture to smooth and apply all over the face and neck. Wash it after that is dry with the plain water.

Raw milk and honey

Take a mixing bowl and add 1 tablespoon of honey and 2 tablespoons of raw milk. Give it a good mix and apply it all over the face with the help of cotton ball. Wash it off after 15 mins.

Raw milk, besan, coconut oil, lemon juice and turmeric

Take a mixing bowl and add 2 tablespoon of besan flour, half teaspoon of wild turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon of coconut oil, 2 tablespoons of raw milk and little lemon juice. Give it a very good mix and apply over the face and neck. Leave it on for 15 mins and wash it off.

Raw milk, sandalwood and wild turmeric

Take a grinding stone and rub the sandalwood with the help of raw milk to form the paste. Now add pinch of wild turmeric powder to give it a mix. Now apply it all over the face and leave it on for 20mins and wash.

Raw milk, oats and honey

Take a blender and add 2 tablespoon of oats, raw milk and honey as per the consistency of the paste you want. Blend it to smooth and apply all over the face and neck. Wash it once it becomes dry.

Raw milk and avocado

Take a blender and add half avocado pulp into it and add raw milk as per the consistency of the paste you want. Blend it to smooth and apply over the face and neck. Wash it after 30mins.

Raw milk and flaxseeds powder

Take small mixing bowl and add 1 tablespoon of flaxseed powder and add 2 tablespoon of raw milk. Can adjust the consistency. Apply it evenly over the face and wash it after 20mins.

Raw milk, rose water and aloe vera gel

Take a small mixing bowl and add raw milk, rose water and aloe vera gel in equal quantities. Apply this mixture over the face and neck and leave it on for 30mins. 

Raw milk and Banana

This mask is great for dry skin and is super moisturising. Simply blend some banana with milk until you get a sticky thick paste. Use it as a 20 minute face mask.
