I am someone who absolutely loves customizing my skincare products and incorporating natural ingredients into it. You might have already read about how you can customize your shampoo with some natural ingredients (If not, here is the article). Similarly, today we will see how you can customize your night cream for healthy skin. Night cream is something everyone should use to nourish and target specific skin concerns while you have your beauty sleep. Here I have listed a few natural ingredients that you can incorporate in your night cream before using –

ADD THIS TO YOUR NIGHT CREAM FOR HEALTHY SKIN

ADD THIS TO YOUR NIGHT CREAM FOR HEALTHY SKIN-

Rose Essential Oil

If you want to customize your night cream to boost skin glow and make it more radiant and plump, rose essential oil can work the best here. Simply add a few drops of rose essential oil on your palms and mix it with a dollop of your night cream. Apply it on your facial skin and massage it in.

Wild Turmeric

Wild turmeric has healing as well as anti-inflammatory and skin brightening benefits. It is an all rounder ingredient that keeps your skin super healthy and makes it look radiant and glowing. You can add a pinch of wild turmeric to a drop of night cream right before using. Mix it well and massage it on your facial skin. Make sure you are not using the regular cooking turmeric as it can stain. Use only wild turmeric which is made specifically for cosmetic purposes. If you do not want to use while turmeric powder, you can simply use few drops of turmeric essential oil instead.

Tea Tree Oil

If you have acne prone problematic skin and suffer from frequent whiteheads and blackheads, tea tree oil can do magic. All you need to do is add 2 to 3 drops of tea tree essential oil to a dollop of night cream. Mix it and massage it on your facial skin and neck.

Ginger Juice

Ginger juice is great for mature skin that suffers from adult acne. It has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial benefits. Add 2 to 3 drops of fresh ginger juice to a dollop of night cream and massage it on your facial skin and neck. If you have really sensitive skin, please patch test before hand.

Vitamin E Oil

Vitamin E is an anti-oxidant that helps fight free radicals and prevent it’s skin damaging effects. It is great for mature skin and works as an anti ageing ingredient. Add few drops of vitamin E to your cream and massage it on your facial skin before bedtime.

Aloe Gel

If you have shaved your face or have some mild skin inflammation or inflamed acne, aloe vera gel can calm down the redness and inflammation. Simply add half teaspoon of commercial aloe vera gel to a tablespoon of night cream. Mix it really well until it emulsifies and massage it on your facial skin and neck.

Peppermint Oil

If you have oily or combination skin type, peppermint oil can work wonders. Simply add a drop or two of peppermint essential oil to your regular night cream right before using.

Shea Butter

If you have severely dry skin or if your skin is feeling stretchy during dry winters, shea butter or shea oil can come to the rescue. Simply add half a teaspoon or 1/4 teaspoon of shea butter or shea oil to your night cream. Mix it well and apply it on your facial skin and neck.

NOTE-

  • Patch test before hand to make sure you are not allergic to any of the ingredients mixed with your night cream.
  • Use organic ingredients for best results.
  • You need to stick to a routine for a longer period for it to work.
