Body washes that are moisturizing and hydrating are my favorite kind of body washes. Body washes are easily available in the market but they do contain a lot of unwanted ingredients as well. Did you know that you can make your own all natural body wash and also customize it the way you want? Below I have listed 8 simple recipes for homemade body wash that you can make easily at home and also target specific skin concerns –

HOMEMADE BODY WASH RECIPES:

Milk & Honey Body Wash

Milk and honey work well together for softening and moisturizing the skin and it also has brightening properties. Helps with sun tan and gives you an even glow. To make milk and honey body wash, all you need to do is mix together 1/3 cup of milk and 2 tablespoons of raw organic honey. Pour this milk and honey mixture into half cup of liquid castile soap and stir gently. Transfer this to an easy-to-use pump bottle and your body wash is ready. Use this up within a week and store it in a cool and dry place.

Orange Body Wash

Oranges are a good source of vitamin C and we all know how beneficial vitamin C is for our skin. Vitamin C is a great antioxidant and it helps fight free radicals. Also has a brightening effect and helps even out skin tone. To make this orange body wash, you need 1/4 cup of orange peel powder and half cup of liquid Castile soap. Before you add orange peel powder into liquid gas also, soak it in some rose water for 1 to 2 hours. Add this mixture to liquid castile soap and stir gently. Add in few drops of orange essential oil and your orange body wash is ready. Store it in an easy to use pump bottle at a cool and dry place.

Coconut Body Wash

A combination of coconut milk and coconut oil has great moisturizing benefits and it also keeps your skin super soft. If coconut oil works well with your skin, go ahead and make this coconut body wash. Simply add 4 tablespoons of coconut oil to 1/3 cup of coconut milk and mix it with half cup of liquid castile soap. Add in few drops of vitamin E oil and stir. Transfer this to an easy-to-use pump bottle and store it in a cool and dry place. Coconut body wash is ready. Use it up within a week.

Almond Body Wash

Sweet almonds have great moisturizing benefits and it also helps even out skin tone and reduce suntan and pigmentation. Also makes a great ingredient for dry skin. To make almond body wash, simply add 2 to 3 tablespoons of sweet almond oil to half cup of liquid castile soap along with few drops of lavender essential oils. Your almond body wash is ready. To add exfoliating benefits, add in few tablespoons of almond meal. Transfer this to an easy-to-use pump bottle and use it as a regular body wash.

Coffee Body Wash

Coffee contains caffeine and coffee grounds also have great exfoliating effect. Improves blood circulation and buffs off a dead skin layer revealing glowing and softer skin. To make an exfoliating coffee body wash, you need 1/4 cup of coffee grounds, a tablespoon of coffee oil (recipe HERE) and half cup of liquid castile soap. Mix properly and transfer it to an easy to use pump bottle. Use it as a regular body wash.

Rose Body Wash

Rose has skin beautifying and softening properties. It adds a rosy glow and also has great natural fragrance. Naturally moisturizes skin and makes it super soft. To make rose body wash, mix together half cup of liquid castle soap and 1/3 cup of rose water. Add in a tablespoon of rose oil and 3 tablespoons of rose petal powder. Store and transfer this to an easy-to-use pump bottle. Use it as a regular body wash.

Clay Body Wash

If you have oily skin and deal with body acne and other skin related mild infections, this clay body wash can help solve all your skin problems. To make clay body wash, add 2 tablespoons of bentonite clay to half cup of liquid castile soap and a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar. Stir gently and transfer this to an easy-to-use pump bottle and store it in a cool and dry place. Use it as a body wash 2 to 3 times a week.

Turmeric Body Wash

If you have a body acne, this purifying body wash can help clarify your skin and keep acne at bay. To make this purifying body wash, add few drops of tea tree essential oil or peppermint essential oil and 1 teaspoon turmeric to half cup of liquid Castle soap. Stir and your turmeric body wash is ready. Transfer this to an easy-to-use pump bottle and use it as a body wash.
