Dark circles are one of the most common beauty concerns and they are extremely common, even more common than you think it is. Pigmentation around eyes can make your eyes and overall face look tired and dull. If you are perfectly okay with under eyes being dark, you need not really do anything about it but if they are making you uncomfortable and bothering you, you can definitely take measures. Now, it is really important to understand that nothing can completely erase your dark circles! But by sleeping on time, following a healthy diet routine and using good topical treatments, you can improve the overall appearance of your dark circles and also lighten them to some extent. Potato

Potato is researched and studied for its anti-pigmentation benefits and it helps in lightening the pigmentation around your eyes as well. Not only does it help lighten pigmentation but it also helps improve the overall eye area. It also has anti ageing benefits that helps prevent early fine lines and wrinkles. Potatoes contain ‘catecholase’ Which is an enzyme that helps lighten pigmentation on the skin.

Turmeric

Turmeric is quite known for its healing and anti pigmentation properties. It helps brighten the eye area and also helps lighten darkness around the eyes. It contains curcumin which is the star component in this ingredient that helps in lightening pigmentation and dark circles.

METHOD:

Things you need-

  • 1 small potato
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 circular cotton pad

Directions-

You need to grate the potato and squeeze out all the juice. Combine together fresh potato juice and turmeric in a bowl and mix it well. Now take a cotton pad and cut it into half from the center. Soak the cotton pad in the prepared potato and turmeric solution and place it under your eyes for 15 to 20 minutes. Remove the cotton pad and massage the residue in for a few minutes and rinse it off. Use this once daily. You can also make these In bulk and store it in a zip lock bag in the refrigerator and use it as and when required.
