CHARCOAL FOR SKIN CARE
Fight Acne
Charcoal has great anti-microbial and skin purifying properties. It helps unclog skin pores and cleanse your skin very thoroughly. You can mix activated charcoal powder with some aloe vera gel and use it as a face mask or a spot treatment. Wash it off after 20 minutes.
Whiten Armpits
Activated charcoal helps detox skin and buff away dead skin layer thereby revealing fresh new even toned skin. You can mix activated charcoal powder with lemon juice or apple cider vinegar and use it as an under arm mask for 15 minutes. Rinse it off and follow up with a moisturizing deodorant that is alcohol free and cream-based.
Peel-off Mask
You can make your very own charcoal peel-off mask that helps buff away dead skin layer and makes your skin super-soft. All you have to do is mix together 2 tablespoons of gelatin powder, 1 tablespoon of activated charcoal powder and enough rose water. Microwave to melt and mix everything together. While it is still warm, apply evenly on your facial skin making sure that you do not apply this near your side locks or eyebrows. Let it completely dry and peel it off. Use a moisturizer.
Face and body scrub
To make your very own face and body scrub, all you need to do is mix together 3 tablespoons of activated charcoal powder, 4 to 5 tablespoons of fine sugar and enough coconut oil to make a spreadable paste. Scrub this on your face and body before having a shower.
Acne spot treatment
Activated charcoal has antibacterial and anti-fungal and properties and it also helps treat acne. Mix together activated charcoal powder with enough apple cider vinegar to make a paste. Apply this using sterile Q-Tips on active acne and sleep with it.
CHARCOAL FOR HAIR CARE
Fight Dandruff
Activated charcoal helps detox your scalp and treat dandruff. All you need to do is mix together fresh aloe vera gel and a few teaspoons of charcoal powder. Add in few drops of tea tree oil and blend it all together. Apply this on your scalp and hair as well and let it sit for one hour before you use a shampoo.
Detox Scalp
If you have a lot of product buildup and in turn leading to lack of hair growth, this is something you should do. Simply mix together activated charcoal powder with enough green tea to make a paste. Apply this on your scalp especially roots and let it sit for 30 minutes before washing your hair.
Scalp scrub
This scalp scrub helps boost circulation, unclogs hair follicles and boost hair growth. It also helps revive your hair and reduce excess sebum. To make the scalp scrub, you need to mix together half cup of rolled oats, 2 tablespoons of activated charcoal powder and enough rose water to make a paste. Use this to scrub your scalp before using a shampoo.
Charcoal Shampoo
To make your very own scalp and hair detoxing shampoo, you simply have to mix 1 tablespoon of activated charcoal powder with one cup of liquid castile soap or any mild baby shampoo that you might have. Add in few drops of essential oils that you like and stir it gently. Use it as a regular shampoo.
Dry Shampoo
If you have dark hair, you can make your very own dry shampoo using activated charcoal powder. To make this detoxing dry shampoo, you have to mix together half cup of arrowroot powder and 1 tablespoon of activated charcoal powder. Add in few drops of peppermint oil if you like and mix it well. To use, sprinkle this powder on your scalp and dust off the excess.
