Hair Growth

You can warm this oil and add in a few drops of rosemary essential oil and use it as a pre-shampoo hot oil treatment. Massage it nicely on your scalp and hair and tie a top knot. Shampoo it off after 2 to 3 hours.

Chapped Lips

If you have chapped and dry lips, you can directly use this oil to moisturize. Alternatively, you can also make your very own lip butter by mixing together 2 tablespoons of shea butter and a teaspoon of coconut oil. Melted, let it set and whip it up to form a butter.

Dry Skin

If you have dry skin and if this oil suits your skin, you can definitely use this as a moisturizer. Coconut oil is highly comedogenic but if it suits you go ahead and totally use it.

Dull Wooden Furniture

If your wooden furniture has a lot of scratches and looks dull, you can use this oil to make the scratches less prominent and to give it a beautiful shine. Simply take a cotton cloth and add and a few drops of oil. Buff the wooden surface.

Skin Glow

If your skin lacks glow and if coconut oil suits you, you can use it to massage your skin. Mix together equal quantities of this oil and honey and use this to massage for 5 to 10 minutes. Wipe of the excess and use a facial forming cleanser to clean all the residue.

Split Ends

If you have split ends, you can use coconut oil to prevent them from splitting further and also to prevent future split ends from forming. Simply use the oil directly as a hair mask. Use a shampoo after 2 to 3 hours. You can also use it as an overnight hair mask.

Rough Hair

If you have a rough hair, mix together equal quantities of coconut oil and fresh aloe vera gel. Blend it together until it is emulsified and use it as a two hour hair mask. Use the shampoo to wash it all off and let your hair air dry.

Damaged Hair

If you have damaged hair, mix together this oil and avocado pulp. Apply this evenly on your scalp and hair and tie a top knot or wrap a warm towel. Use the shampoo after 2 to 3 hours and let your hair air dry.

Acne

Coconut oil is highly comedogenic but if it suits your skin, you can definitely use it to treat acne thanks to its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. Simply use this oil directly on your acne as a 30 minute spot treatment. Wash it off and pat dry.

Shoe Polish

If you have shoes that are looking dry and have scratches on them, you can use this oil to polish them. Simply take a cloth and add in few drops of this wonderful multi-purpose oil. Use this to buff your shoes.

Body Butter

If you have dry skin and if this oil suits you, you can definitely make your own body butter with it. Simply combine equal quantities of coconut oil and shea butter and add in some bee wax as well. Melt everything together and let it set on the countertop as room temperature for 10 minutes. Whip this until you get a fluffy mixture. Transfer this to an easy to use jar and use it as a body butter after shower.

Dry Cuticles

If you have dry cuticles, you can mix together this oil and vitamin E oil and use it as a cuticle nourishing oil. Add a drop or two of this on your fingers and massage it in.

Stretch Marks

If coconut oil suits you, you can definitely use it to moisturize your skin and make your stretch marks look less prominent and prevent future stretch marks as well. All you need to do is add some bee wax to coconut oil and melted together. Let it set and whip together until you get a creamy lotion like consistency. Use it on your stretchmarks after a shower.

Leather Polish

If your leather has gone dry and cracked, you can use this oil to nourish and moisturize it. Simply use a cotton cloth to above some coconut oil into the leather. Also great for leather watch straps and belts that catch fungus easily.

Dry Ear Wax

If you have dry hard ear wax, you can add a few drops of warm oil into your ears before sleeping. Gradually, the earwax will become soft and it will be a lot easier to remove it.

Brow and Lash Growth

Add a drop or two of lavender essential oil to 4 to 5 tablespoons of this oil and store it in an empty mascara tube. Use it on your brows and lashes before bedtime to boost growth.

Dandruff

If you have dandruff, you can add few drops of tea tree essential oil to coconut oil and use it as a hair mask two hours before shampooing.

Body Mist

If you have dry skin and if coconut oil suits you, you can make coconut oil body mist. Add a teaspoon of this oil to half cup of rose water and a few drops of your favorite essential oil. Shake it well before every use and mist it all over your body after a shower.

Makeup Removal

You can use coconut oil to remove your make up. You can either massage it on your skin and then use of foaming face wash to remove every traces of make up and oil residue. Alternatively you can add some coconut oil on a cotton pad and wipe your face.

Nail Growth

You can use coconut oil to nourish your cuticle and nail beds. Simply massage coconut oil on your fingers and nails concentrating on the cuticles before bedtime.
