Cleaning Veggies and Fruits

Baking soda is an excellent cleanser and it helps remove dirt and pesticides from vegetables and fruits. Plus it also removes all the dirt and grime from your veggies and fruits. All you need to do is add a tablespoon of baking soda and a teaspoon of table salt in 4 to 5 cups of water. Soak in your vegetables for 10 minutes. Rinse the vegetables and fruits with fresh water and use it.

Removing Bathroom Stains

If you have stains in your bathroom walls and tiles, you can use baking soda to scrub it off. All you need to do is sprinkle this soda on damp tiles and walls. Keep it for five minutes before you scrub it with a wet sponge. Rinse it off with plain water and your tiles and walls will be cleaner.

Remove Coffee Stains

If your mugs and cups look stained from the inside, you can simply use this soda to get rid of the coffee stains. All need to do is mix together 1 tablespoon of baking soda with very little dish-washing liquid and apply it on the cup. Let it sit for 2 to 3 minutes and then scrub it off with a wet sponge. The stain should come right away.

Freshen Clothes

If you have dirty stained clothes, try this trick. Adding a tablespoon or two of baking soda to your regular wash load can remove the stains and add a fresh scent to your clothes. All you need to do is add a tablespoon or two of this soda to your regular washing load and see your clothes come out a lot cleaner and fresher.

Freshen Toilet and Drains

Toilet bowl and drains stain and stink if they have gone really dirty, you might want to give it a really good cleaning. All you need to do is throw down half a cup of baking soda along with one cup of hot water. Use a scrubber if required and pour regular water on top.

Fight Fire

If you experience or observe a small fire in your home, you can sprinkle a cup or two of baking soda on it to stop the flame. Soda and heat emits carbon dioxide that helps in this extinguishing fire.

Freshen Stinking Closet

If you closet smells mushy, you can keep a jar of baking soda inside your project with an open lid. It helps absorb all the moisture and freshen up your closet. You can also add in few drops of any fragrant essential oil if you like.

Clean Carpets

If you have carpets at home that are not easy to clean, you can use baking soda to remove mild states and also to freshen it up. All you need to do is sprinkle it all over your carpet and let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes. Use a vacuum cleaner to clean the residue. This will leave your carpet fresh and clean.

Clean Microwave

If you have got stains in the microwave, you can easily clean it using baking soda. All you need to do is sprinkle baking soda on the stains and spray white or apple cider vinegar on at. It will start bubbling. After the effervescence stops, use of wet scrubber to scrub of all the stains and wipe it off using a wet cloth.

If you want to get rid of floor scuffs and make your floor look neater and cleaner, you can use soda to instantly clean it. All you need to do is make a paste using this soda and enough water and apply it on the scuffs. Scrub it using a scrubber or a spare toothbrush and wipe it off with a damp sponge or cloth.
