RECIPE FOR TURMERIC GLOW SERUM:
Benefits of ingredients used in turmeric glow serum-
Wild Turmeric Powder
Wild turmeric powder is specifically used for cosmetic purposes and it is always better to use this rather than using your turmeric powder that we use in the kitchen. This variety of turmeric powder does not stain the skin. It has some amazing antimicrobial and anti-pigmentation properties. Not only that, but it also heals the skin from within and keeps it healthy and glowing. It contains curcumin that adds a beautiful glow to the skin and makes this a wonderful ingredient for skin care.
Turmeric Carrier Oil
Turmeric carrier oil contains all the benefits of turmeric but in more concentrated form and also contains essential fatty acids that moisturise the skin. It helps soothe inflammation and acne on the skin and also dry out pimples and prevent future breakouts. Thanks to its anti-septic and soothing properties, turmeric carrier oil supports skin repair by boosting collagen production and also improves overall skin texture.
Aloe Gel
Aloe vera gel works as a skin healing ingredient. It has natural astringent properties, break out preventing properties and also helps neutralise free radicals. It contains compounds that protects the skin from damage and makes it super soft. Not only does it have amazing skin care benefits but it also works as a great base in this recipe. Also, if you have eczema and psoriasis, this ingredient works wonders.

Frankincense Essential Oil
This wonderful essential oil helps quickly heal wounds, cuts and scars and it is also great for mature skin that is prone to fine lines, wrinkles and sagging. Works as an anti septic that inhibits infectious microbes and also works as an astringent. It has healing properties that works well on acne. Frankincense essential oil works as a natural skin toner and moisturises the skin to help fight irritation and dryness. Adds a beautiful reflective glow and keeps your skin super soft.
Method:
Things You Need-
- 3 tbsps Commercial Aloe gel
- 1 tsp Wild Turmeric Powder
- 1 tsp Turmeric Carrier Oil
- Few drops of Frankincense Essential Oil
Directions-
To make this turmeric glow serum, take 3 tablespoons of commercial aloe vera gel in a bowl. Do not use fresh aloe vera gel as it will not emulsify with other ingredients in the recipe. Add in 1 teaspoon of wild turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon of turmeric, carrier oil and few drops of frankincense essential oil. Mix it up really well until it is nicely emulsified and looks turbid. If you want a thinner consistency, feel free to add in some rose water and mix it up really well. Transfer this in an easy to use dropper bottle and use this on your facial skin after cleansing and toning before bedtime.
Note-
- Use this serum on regular basis for it to work.
- Make sure you’re not allergic to any of the ingredients used in the recipe. You can patch test beforehand to check that.
- Use organic ingredients for best results.
