Benefits of the ingredients used in the the hand sanitizer recipe-
Rubbing Alcohol
Without the right ingredients, homemade hand sanitizer may not effect on the clinically relevant germs and bacteria. The active ingredient over here is the rubbing alcohol also called as surgical spirits which comprises of 70% alcohol to be called as an effective disinfectant actually!! Rubbing alcohol is nothing but 99% isopropyl alcohol. Ethanol can also be used (90% to 95%). Alcohol effectively kills germs on hands and also household surfaces. Microbes including bacteria, viruses, and fungi are susceptible to alcohol’s germicidal effects. This even includes the new corona virus that causes the respiratory disease covid 19.
Tea Tree Oil
Essential oils are the high point in many homemade hand sanitizers. It supports alcohol’s germ fighting capability and has antiseptic, antiviral, antimicrobial and antibacterial properties. Even helps in restoring the lost moisture and nutrients content. It even leave your hands with great aroma. Tea tree oil makes an ideal natural hand sanitizer. Kills common bacteria and viruses responsible for causing illness including E. coli and pneumoniae and H. Pylori.
Aloe Vera Gel
Many hand sanitizers dry out your hands leaving flaky. So hand sanitizers with aloe vera is of great benefit where it overcomes the problem of dryness by moisturizing and nurturing with essential vitamins and nutrients keeping the skin soft and supple. It even make sure to clean the hands properly. Aloe gel also works as a great gel base in the recipe that helps emulsify and mix all the other ingredients.
Method
Things you need:
- 2/3 cup of rubbing alcohol
- 1/3 cup of aloe vera gel
- 10 drops of tea tree essential oil
Directions:
To make this hand sanitizer all you need is 2/3 cup of rubbing alcohol, 1/3 cup of aloe vera gel and 10 drops of tea tree essential oil. Firstly pour the rubbing alcohol and aloe vera gel into a bowl and stir well completely until you get a perfect blend. Aloe vera helps add thickness and moisturize your hand. Now add in the 10 drops of tea tree oil. Essential oil helps mask the smell of the alcohol. Whisk all the ingredients together and pour into the pump bottle. Label it using adhesive strip if you like.

- This product is not tested in lab to determine the efficacy against corona virus since the remedy contains commonly accepted natural antiviral ingredients.
