RECIPE FOR DIY ONION OIL

Things you need-

  • 2-3 big sized onions
  • 2 cups olive oil or almond oil

Directions-

To make onion oil, you first need to dice onions and toss them in the blender to make a fine paste. Now, add 2 cups of olive oil or almond oil in a saucepan and place it on medium flame. Add in onion paste and let it cook until the onion becomes dark and starts floating (sometimes a dark residue settles in the bottom) in the oil. It is important to make sure that the onion residue is dark and fully fried otherwise the water molecules can make the oil go bad pretty soon. Let this cool down completely before you strain. Store the onion oil in an easy to use jar and use it as and when required.
