DIY TURMERIC OIL – Recipe, Benefits and Uses

TURMERIC OIL RECIPE

Things you need-

  • 5-6 fresh turmeric roots
  • 1 cup olive oil or sweet almond oil

Directions-

To make turmeric oil, you need 5 to 6 medium sized fresh turmeric roots. Chop them and toss them in a blender because you need a very fine taste. Make sure you do not add water in this, add a teaspoon or so only if absolutely required. After making a paste, keep it aside. On a medium flame, place a saucepan and add in 1 cup of olive oil or sweet almond oil. Add in the turmeric paste that you just made and let it cook or fry until you get a dark residue. This can take a pretty long time but you have to make sure that there is no water molecule left in the pan or the final product can go bad. After this is done, let the oil completely cool down and using a muslin cloth or strainer, strain the oil properly. Transfer the oil to an easy-to-use drop a bottle and use it as and when required.
