Aloe Vera Gel- Aloe gel has hydrating properties that combats dryness and since it is commercial aloe gel, it sets well as a leave-on treatment. Aloe vera reduces frizziness, makes hair softer and reflects shine making your hair look lustrous! Gradually improves hair texture and makes it manageable and frizz-free.

Vitamin E Oil- Vitamin E oil moisturizes hair and repairs dryness and prevents split ends. Improves hair texture, reverses heat damage gradually, nourishes and add shine. Makes hair less frizzy and makes it more manageable and softer.

Lavender Essential Oil- Lavender essential oil has hair nourishing and repairing properties. It also adds an incredible shine to the hair and reduces frizziness. Lavender essential oil also adds fragrance to your hair and works as a fragrant in the recipe.

Rose Water- Rose water helps reduce frizziness and makes hair more manageable. Hydrates and nourishes. Also adds shine.

RECIPE FOR DIY HAIR SERUM:

Things you need-

  • 3 tablespoons commercial organic aloe vera gel
  • 1 teaspoon vitamin E Oil
  • Few drops lavender essential oil
  • 6-7 tablespoons rose water

Directions-

  • In a bowl, add commercial aloe vera gel. You cannot use fresh aloe gel as it won’t work in this recipe. Commercial aloe gel contains emulsifiers that helps emulsify the ingredients and also has a longer shelf-life.
  • Add in vitamin E oil and lavender essential oil and mix until it all emulsifies well and becomes turbid.
  • Add in rose water and again mix until it is all well-emulsifies and becomes gel-like. Transfer to a pump bottle or any container that is easy to use and your hair serum is all ready!
  • Shelf-life of this serum depends on the shelf-life of the ingredients used.
  • To use, massage a small quantity on damp hair until well absorbed/equally distributed. Can also be used on dry hair but it works best on damp hair.
