Rose petals powder
Rose powder is known for its excellent soothing effects for the sensitive skin. It has anti-inflammatory properties, inhibits the inflamed skin produced by exposure of UV rays. It also has the capability to reduce fine lines and wrinkles thus useful for anti-ageing effects on the regular usage. Gives extreme cooling, refreshing and super-natural glow too.
Manjistha powder
Manjistha powder has anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and antioxidant properties. It helps in preventing the acne and keeps inflammation at bay. Helps in reducing the dark spots. It also improves overall skin texture.
Sandalwood powder
Sandalwood is one of the age-old ingredients used in ayurveda for beauty rituals.
It has medicinal properties and is therefore used as a home remedy for many skin conditions. Also acts an astringent and helps to tighten pores. It improves overall texture and prevents acne.
Orange peel powder
Orange peel powder is rich in vitamin C that helps in the formation of collagen and elastin of the skin. Since orange peels have an anti-bacterial property which helps in fighting upon acne forming bacteria and gives flawless skin. Orange peel powder acts as natural bleaching agent helps lighten dark spots and pigmentation. The vitamin C and AHA’s in the orange peels helps restore natural complexion of the skin.
Method
Things you need:
- 4 tablespoon of rose petal powder
- 4 tablespoon of manjistha powder
- 3-4 tablespoon of sandalwood powder
- 4 tablespoon of orange peel powder
Directions:
To prepare this ayurvedic facial cleansing paste. Just mix rose petal powder, manjistha powder, sandalwood powder and orange peel powder in all equal quantities. Store this dry mixture in an air tight container.
Usage:
Ayurvedic facial cleansing paste can be used by taking a small amount of dry mixtures as per the quantity required and can mix it with either curd or water or rose water to form a paste. Massage this paste on damp facial skin in circular motions avoiding immediate eye area, for a few minutes and rinse it off. Pat dry and follow up with your regular skin care routine. Can also be used as a 5-10 min face mask.

- Patch test is mandatory before you use this cleansing paste and check if you are allergic to any of the ingredients used in it.
- Use the fresh mixture and prepare it as when required for better results.
- This is not a substitute to makeup removers.
- Maintain the consistency.
- Use organic products/ ingredients for best results and to maintain the skin health.

- Make sure your pillow cases are changed every week to prevent acne.
