RECIPE FOR MAKING SANDALWOOD MASK:
BENEFITS OF INGREDIENTS USED IN SANDALWOOD MASK
Sandalwood Stick
Sandalwood also known as Chandan is said to have been used in Ayurveda for centuries. Not only does this have aromatic benefits but also therapeutic benefits too. Sandalwood acts as an astringent thereby helps reducing the excess sebum secretion while also retaining moisture. It has antibacterial properties and therefore combat acne and pimples and also protects your skin from the sun’s harmful UV rays. Sandalwood also reduces scars and blemishes and also has the capacity to diminish hyperpigmentation. It also removes tan and brightens your face immediately. This also helps in treating prickly heat or heat rash since it gives a cooling effect when applied on the face. The sandalwood aroma also lifts up your mood and relaxes your mind.
Milk
Milk acts as a natural cleanser. It’s been used in the making of DIY face masks for its tan removal properties. Milk adds radiance to your skin. It is rich in Vitamin D which aids in slowing down wrinkles and also deals the issues of ageing. It deeply cleanses your face and makes your face soft and supple. Milk also gives moisture to your face and provides a glowing skin. Also boosts collagen production thereby provides elasticity and hydration that your skin needs. Milk gently exfoliates your skin and treats uneven skin tone making your skin flawless. Since it has lactic acid, it penetrates into your skin and helps in the removal of all the gunk in your pores and cleanses the acne causing bacteria.
