Clay Powder 

You can use any clay powder be it multani mitti or kaolin clay. It’s completely up to you and your choice. Know what works best for your skin type. Clay powders are thought to have best benefits be it managing the dry skin and controlling excess sebum production. It can also be used as a natural cleanser and is a boon for oily skin people. Use it often in order to unclog your pores and keep it clean. If you have very dry skin, go for kaolin clay.

Raw Milk 

Raw milk is the best cleanser that can be used daily. For sure we can see the instant results with just wiping the skin with raw milk dipped cotton pad. Helps treating dry skin since it acts as a good toner. Acts as a mild exfoliating and hydrating agent. Thanks to the lactic acid since raw milk helps clear dark spots, blemishes, heals tanning and acne over time. Removes excess dirt from skin thus helping in rehydration as well.

Flour

You can use any flour which is completely up to you and the one that works best for you. Here are some flours that can be used i.e., gram flour, wheat flour, green gram flour and surprisingly ragi flour as well!

Each one of it does an amazing job and it completely depends on your skin type. Dry skin people please do not opt for gram flour since it dries out your skin to the core making it even drier. Green gram flour (moong dal) is rich in vitamins and enzymes which help in rejuvenating your skin by nourishing and an exfoliating. Moong dal is rich in vitamin A and C thus helps with an amazing glow on the regular usage. So oily skin people can go for gram flour and moong dal flour without giving a second thought. Both of them removes dead skin cells thus giving soft and supple skin.

Who doesn’t want beautiful and radiant skin? So go for wheat flour that is immensely beneficial for skin like protecting the skin from damage, providing excellent nourishment, moisturize the skin and promotes the skin elasticity. Ragi flour works wonders on the skin. When it comes to anti-aging and maintaining the skin young and youthful go for Ragi flour. The vital amino acids present in the ragi make skin less prone to sagging and wrinkles. Any skin type people can use wheat flour and ragi flour in their beauty recipes. 

Wild Turmeric Powder

Turmeric has ability to fade dark spots and lighten any pigmentation. It is even suitable for sensitive skin type. The anti-inflammatory properties of turmeric are immensely beneficial in treating acne. Thanks to its antioxidant properties for combating skin damaging free-radicals and is great for reducing fine lines and wrinkles due to its anti-aging effects. 

Method

Things you need:

  • 2 tbsp clay powder
  • 3 tbsp raw milk ( as per the consistency)
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp wild turmeric powder 

Directions:

To prepare this DIY face mask that acts as softener, all you need is the above mentioned ingredients. Choose for the clay powder that best suits your skin type be it multani mitti or kaolin clay/bentonite clay. When it comes to flour choose any flour except that dry skin people do not opt for besan (gram flour). Other than this, wheat, ragi and green gram flour can be chosen. So having said that, mix 2 tbsp clay powder, 1 tbsp flour and 1 tbsp wild turmeric powder. Pour the raw milk slowly to form a paste and it complexly depends on your choice of consistency. Use this DIY face mask for at least twice or thrice a week to see the best results.

  • Avoid sensitive areas in case you feel any skin irritation.
  • Results aren’t visible if applied once. Maintain consistency to see the best results.

  • Can follow up with toner and moisturizer to keep your skin nourished.
  • Those with acne prone skin can use rose water instead of raw milk.
