We often tend to skip using a moisturizer but not using one can really give you either dry skin or make your skin feel less hydrated. HOMEMADE FACE MOISTURIZER RECIPE

HOMEMADE FACE MOISTURIZER RECIPES:

Oily Skin-

To make a moisturizer for oily skin, you need 4 tablespoons of commercial and organic aloe vera gel, two capsules of vitamin E, few drops of your favorite essential oil and 2 tablespoons of jojoba essential oil.

Grab a bowl and add in commercial aloe vera gel and break in 2 capsules of vitamin E. Add in few drops of your favorite essential oils followed by jojoba oil and mix it really well until it is well emulsified and homogeneous. The final consistency should look turbid and creamy. Transfer this to an easy-to-use jar and your moisturizer for oily skin is ready. Use it just as any other moisturizer.

Dry Skin-

To make a moisturizer for dry skin, you need 2 tablespoons of softened shea butter, 2 tablespoons of avocado butter, 2 teaspoons of sweet almond oil and 1 teaspoon of jojoba oil. You can also use few drops of your favorite essential oils, I would recommend rose essential oil or rose hip oil.

Take a bowl and add in soft shea butter and avocado butter. If these butters are solid at room temperature, you might want to microwave them for a few seconds so that it is easy to whip. Add in sweet almond oil and jojoba oil followed by your favorite essential oils. Whip it using a hand mixer or whipping machine until you get a fluffy soft buttery texture. Transfer this to an easy-to-use jar and your face moisturizer for dry skin is ready. Use it as a regular moisturizer.

NOTE-

  • These are DIY recipes and can be customized as per your skin needs. If you have active acne, add in few drops of tea tree essential oil. If you have mature skin, add a rose hip oil.
  • Use organic ingredients for best results.
  • The shelf life of the final product depends on the shelf life of ingredients used.
