Banana Mask
To make a super moisturizing and conditioning banana hair mask, simply blend together a medium-sized banana with very little milk. Apply this smooth paste on your scalp and hair and let it sit for 2 to 3 hours before you use a shampoo. Add in some honey too if you like.
Avocado Mask
Avocado is super moisturizing and nourishing because it is high in essential fatty acids. All you need to do is blend together pulp from one big size avocado with some coconut oil until well combined. Apply this on your scalp and hair and use a shampoo after 2 to 3 hours.
Coconut Mask
Coconut milk is super moisturizing and when used with coconut oil, it can help repair any hair damage and make your head more shiny and manageable. Blend together equal quantities of coconut milk and coconut oil until it well emulsifies. Apply this on your scalp and hair and wear a shower cap. Use a shampoo after 2 to 3 hours.
Aloe Mask
Aloe vera is super hydrating and moisturizing at the same time. It tames frizziness and makes your hair more manageable and soft. All you have to do is apply fresh aloe vera gel directly on your hair and shampoo it off after 2 to 3 hours. For added benefits, you can add and few drops of lavender essential oil, this is an optional step.
Egg Mask
A combination of egg and yogurt can moisturize hair and make it super soft and silky. All you have to do is whisk together two whole eggs and 2 to 3 tablespoons of greek yogurt. Apply this on your hair and scalp and let it sit for 2 to 3 hours. Use a shampoo and condition as you normally would.
Yogurt Mask
Greek yogurt is super moisturizing on its own, you can apply it directly on your hair or mix it with some honey and then use it as a 2 to 3 hour hair mask. Shampoo it off and condition as you normally would.
Hair Butter
You can also make your very own moisturizing and conditioning hair butter that can be used as a pre-shampoo hair mask as well as a leave on conditioner. All you have to do is whip together soft shea butter and equal quantities of almond oil until it is fluffy. Use it liberally as a hair mask and scanty as a leave on treatment.
Ghee Mask
Ghee is nothing but clarified butter and it has super moisturizing and conditioning properties. Warm some clarified butter and apply it on your hair and scalp. Add in few drops of rosehip oil if you like. Massage it for a few minutes and where a shower cap for 2 to 3 hours. Use a shampoo as you normally would.
Honey Mask
Honey is a natural humectant that hydrates your hair and it repairs any hair damage. It makes your hair super silky and manageable. Mix half cup of raw organic honey with 2 to 3 tablespoons of milk and apply it on your hair and scalp. Let it sit for 2 to 3 hours and use a shampoo as you normally would.
Hot Oil Treatment
I swear by hot oil hair treatments! They are the best natural hair conditioners and moisturizers. Combine together equal quantity of coconut oil and castor oil and warm it up a bit. Massage this on your hair and scalp and let it sit for 2 to 3 hours before you use a shampoo.
