Aloe Gel

Aloe vera gel has anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial and skin calming properties. It makes a great gel base in this recipe and also has amazing skincare benefits. It also works as a natural humectant that hydrates the skin, unclog pores and also helps fight acne, whiteheads and blackheads. Keeps skin super soft and plump and works well for all skin types and in all seasons.

Rose Water

Rose water contains essential nutrients that nourish the skin and keep it well hydrated and in top condition. Adds a rosy glow and also helps moisturize your skin to make it softer and smoother. Vitamin E Oil

To make this aloe toner, you first need to make flax gel. To make flaxseed gel, you need to simmer handful flaxseeds in 2 cups of water until the water turns like gel. Strain and your flax gel is ready. Now, in a bowl add commercial aloe vera gel. You cannot use fresh aloe vera gel as it does not contain any emulsifiers and it will not mix with other ingredients in this recipe, also it will have a very short shelf life.

Add in rosewater, vitamin E oil and flax gel and mix everything well until it is emulsified and homogeneous. Transfer this to an easy-to-use spray or pump bottle and your aloe toner is ready. To use, take a small quantity on a cotton pad and swipe it across your facial skin and neck. Alternatively, you can also spray this directly on your facial skin and pat in the excess. The shelf life of this toner is one week in the refrigerator after which you will have to make a new batch.
