Benefits of the ingredients used in this amla hair growth spray
Amla
Owing to amla’s richness in nutrients like vitamin C and tannins, it’s been a part of hair care rituals treasure trove for centuries. It has great hair nourishing properties and contains 80% of moisture making it an ideal ingredient for natural conditioning of hair. It is known for strengthening hair follicles and even prevents premature hair graying. Adding amla to your diet helps reducing oxidative stress and reduces free radicals. As amla is rich in vitamin C, it increases the anti-oxidants in the body. Amla is great for treating dandruff due to its anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties and it even relieves scalp itchiness by restoring optimum pH values of scalp.
Rose water
Rosewater has a similar pH level as that of our hair. Although rosewater isn’t extensively studied, it does contain number of beneficial nutrients that’s good for hair. It contains vitamin A, vitamin B, vitamin C, vitamin E and anti-inflammatory properties.
It has numerous benefits – it helps with reducing scalp greasiness, reduces dandruff and frizz, adds shine and softens hair.
Rosemary essential oil
Rosemary oil promotes hair growth that comes from the basic benefits of it. It is said to have anti-inflammatory properties, promote nerve growth and improves blood circulation. As a result, it is capable of preventing hair follicles from being starved of blood supply and dying off that was leading to hair thinning and hair loss. Beyond stimulating hair growth, rosemary essential oil is used to prevent premature hair graying, dandruff and helps in treating an itchy scalp.
Method
Things you need:
- 1 tablespoon of amla powder
- 1 ½ cup of rose water
- Few drops of rosemary essential oil
Directions:
To prepare this amla hair growth spray, all you need to do is – take a mason jar and add 1 tablespoon of amla powder and 1 ½ cup of rosewater to it. Now add few drops of essential oil to it. Give it a very good stir and let it stay overnight. Strain and fill it in a spray bottle. If in case you do not have store-bought amla powder, squeezing some good amount of amla juice should be fine.
Usage
To use this hair spray, just spray this mixture all over your scalp and hair the night before your hair wash and let it stay overnight or for 2-3 hours. Also spray this after hair wash on damp & wet hair, massage and let your hair air dry. Do this once in a week.
