If you love using natural remedies, you probably already know the trick of using black tea to darken hair colour. Black tea is also used as a drink to cure fever and uneasiness. Did you know that you can use frozen black tea on your skin? It has a number of skincare benefits and there are also lot of research studies on the same. Today I am going to share my favourite black tea cubes recipe for beautiful skin –
RECIPE FOR BLACK TEA CUBES FOR BEAUTIFUL SKIN:
Black Tea
Black tea has skin clarifying and anti-oxidant benefits. It helps flush out toxins from the skin and keep it super clear and flawless. Black tea is also a great skin and hair conditioner that makes your skin smoother and retains moisture. Has anti ageing and photo protective effects. Keeps your skin super healthy and young looking for longer.
Rose Water
Rosewater is a great alternative for filtered water in this recipe and it also adds on to the benefits of black tea cubes. As a beautiful rosy glow, helps balance sebum production and also keep your skin soft and smooth. Helps fight acne and minor inflammation on the skin.
METHOD:
Things you need-
- 2 black tea bags
- 1/3 cup filtered water
- 1/2 cup rose water
Directions-
Firstly, you need to make a really strong black tea and for that you need 2 black tea bags and 1/3 cup of filtered water. Infuse these tea bags in hot filtered water and let it sit at the countertop for 5 to 10 minutes. Squeeze out all the tea from the teabag and dilute this with rose water. Stir and pour this the mixture into ice cube tray and let it freezebcompletely. To use, take one cube and massage it onto your facial skin gently until it completely melts. Best done before using your skincare and also before make up to make it last longer.
NOTE:
- If you have sensitive skin or if you are sceptical about using ice cubes directly on your skin, you can skip the freezing part and simply use black tea mixture as a toner.
- Alternatively, you can also use this as a chilled facial spray throughout the day.
- Patch test before hand to make sure you are not allergic to black tea being used topically.
