Turmeric is quite a popular beauty and health ingredient and it is one of my favorites too when it comes to beauty and health. Using turmeric in face mask recipes is extremely common but did you know that just like this aloe vera butter, you can also make turmeric butter and use it for your skin and hair? Turmeric has great healing, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties that makes it a great beauty ingredient and today we will see how to make turmeric butter and use it too –
BENEFITS
Shea Butter
Shea butter is an all natural moisturizer and hydrating ingredient. It moisturizes skin and hair and keeps it super soft. Shea butter also helps heal dry patches and damaged hair and it is non-comedogenic that makes it a perfect beauty ingredient. Shea butter also has anti-inflammatory properties that helps soothe the skin.
Wild Turmeric
Wild turmeric unlike regular cooking one stains less and specifically is for beauty purposes. Do not use the the one that is meant for cooking because it can stain. Wild turmeric has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties and it also heals skin because of its anti septic effects. Wild turmeric also helps lighten pigmentation on the skin and helps even out skin tone. Just as it works for skin, it also works for Hair.
Turmeric Essential Oil
Turmeric essential oil has all the benefits of regular turmeric root just that it is more potent due to saturated extracts. If you do not have the powder form, you can just use this oil in the butter but using the powder form also works pretty well in the recipe. Turmeric essential oil has anti-inflammatory, healing, anti pigmentation and antimicrobial properties.
