Roses are popularly used in beauty routines, whether be it any home-made remedy or commercial products. You can also find rose infused commercial products in the market and also you can easily find rose essential oil and rose petal powder in the market that can be used for home-made recipes. I absolutely love using roses in a beauty routine and I use it in a lot of different ways. If you have some fresh or dried roses at home, you can make rose serum out of it! Here is a recipe for rose serum for rosy glow –

Roses
Roses have great skin beautifying properties and it adds a beautiful rosy glow. Helps balance sebum production and reduces shine if you have combination to oily skin type. Unclogs pores, prevent whiteheads and blackheads and also helps keep your skin clear and free from acne and breakouts. Helps even out skin tone and reduce suntan to some extent when used religiously.
Argan Oil
Argan oil protects your skin from sun damage, moisturisers it, helps treat acne, deeply hydrates and has great anti-ageing effects. It keeps your skin plump and hydrated and also keeps it clear and free from acne and breakouts. Is a lightweight oil and does not break you out.
Jojoba Oil
Jojoba oil is rich in essential fatty acids that hydrate and moisturise your skin and also nourish. Has anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and antifungal properties that keeps your skin clean and clear and also helps unclog pores. Prevents whiteheads, blackheads and pimples.
Grapeseed Oil
Grapeseed oil is a lightweight oil that is rich in essential fatty acids that nourish and hydrate your skin. Has moisturising properties that keep your skin plump and soft. Nourishes and keep your skin free from acne, uneven texture and also add a beautiful glow.
METHOD:
Things you need-
- 2 tablespoons Jojoba Oil
- 1-2 tablespoons Argan Oil
- 2 tablespoons Grapeseed Oil
- 1-2 tablespoons dried Rose Petals
Directions-
To make this rose serum, you first need to dry roses. You can keep the rose under direct sunlight throughout the day for a few days until it is completely dried, free from any moisture and crisp. Remove the petals and keep them aside. Grab a dropper bottle that is sanitised and completely dried and add in these rose petals. Now, add in jojoba oil, argan oil and grapeseed oil one after the other into the dropper bottle and secure the bottle with the lid. Shake it really well and place this bottle under direct sunlight throughout the day for 1 to 2 weeks.
Let it completely infuse and then you can use this as a facial serum before bedtime. Keep the rose petals infused in this oil for added benefits. The correct way to use this is to take 2 to 3 drops of this oil on your palms and rub your palms together to warm it up. Pat this onto your facial skin until fully absorbed and follow up with your regular skincare routine. Can also be used as a last step in your skincare routine or you can also mix this with your night cream.
NOTE:
- Make sure that the roses that you are using is organic.
- Feel free to add in your favourite carrier oil to make the final product more beneficial and effective. You can also add in some rose essential oil if you like.
- Use organic ingredients for best results.
- Stick to a routine for a longer period for it to show any effects.
